The Presidency and the Supreme Court conference brought together a wide range of speakers, including scholars, policymakers, and journalists to deliberate on the complex relationship between the Court and the Presidency and the impact of that interaction on American society. Panels focused not only on the political process of Supreme Court nominations and confirmations, but examined the Court's influence on social issues, civil rights and governmental power in times of crisis. The conference included a keynote address by former Justice Sandra Day O'Connor.
