Amelia Earhart: Copies of Material Found in the FDR Library | Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library & Museum

Scope and Contents: This collection consists of copies of materials found in several collections in the FDR Library holdings. These materials include correspondence between Amelia Earhart and Franklin D. and Eleanor Roosevelt; memoranda, news clippings, and other material pertaining to Earhart and her activities in aviation; correspondence between Eleanor Roosevelt and Earhart's husband, publisher George Putnam; and diplomatic communications concerning Japanese efforts to help locate Earhart after her disappearance in 1937. Also included is a register of the FDR Library collections which contain the originals from which these copies were made.
