Scope and Contents of the Materials
This collection consists of correspondence, memoranda, notes, and legal documents pertaining to the transfer of the Roosevelt property to the Federal Government for the Franklin D. Roosevelt Library. The legal documents include copies of the indenture that articulates the terms of the transfer, the abstract of the title of the Roosevelts to the land, the deed to the land, and the Senate resolution to provide for the establishment of the library.
