Scope and Contents of the Materials

This collection primarily pertains to trips taken by the President and his attendance of wartime conferences.  There are memoranda concerning the preparation of naval ships and officers, itineraries, lists of luggage, and maps. Additionally there are newspaper clippings and magazine articles saved by Rigdon.

Collection Historical Note

William Rigdon was the Assistant Naval Aide in the White House from 1942 until 1953.
