Scope and Contents of the Materials

This collection consists of manuscripts of Arthur M Schlesinger's three-volume work The Age of Roosevelt and the manuscript of a fourth volume, Exercise of Democracy, that was not published under that title. Also included are other materials related to his scholarship on the FDR period.

Administrative Information

Accruals: After the initial acquistion of the manuscript of vol. 1 of The Age of Roosevelt, the manuscript of vol. 2 was acquired in the fall of 1959 and the manuscripts of vols. 3-4 in October 1961.
