This collection includes a report written by Spingarn on McCarthyism, as well as a transcribed speech about McCarthyism and the freedom of speech.  There are correspondence, memoranda, and reports about the Non-Partisan Truth Foundation, or  Foundation to Promote Truth in American Political Life. Also found within this collection is a paper calling for the "Vitailzation of the National Defense Establishment Organization Relating to Overseas Counter Intelligence in Time of War, and for the Correction of Serious Deficiencies in this Organization as Demonstrated by World War II."  There is additionally a paper on the history of the Fifth Army Counter Intelligence Corps (two folders).
