This collection consists mainly of materials relating to Miles H. Fairbank's book The Chardon Plan and and the Puerto Rico Reconstruction Administration 1934-1954. Housed in two folders, these materials include the following: correspondence between Miles Fairbank and his friend and editor Leona B. Gerard concerning the manuscript of The Chardon Plan; clippings and other materials pertaining to the book; materials concerning Fairbank's business in Puerto Rico; a speech by Leona Gerard about Interior Secreatry Harold Ickes; an unpublished essay by Leona Gerard, "Mission to Puerto Rico -- 1937"; and a typescript of Fairbank's The Chardon Plan with Leona Gerard's handwritten notes.
