This collection consists of correspondence to and from Eleanor Roosevelt regarding Americans held in custody in China; a pamphlet regarding George Washington; a transcript of a "Face the Nation" broadcast on which John F. Kennedy was a guest (1958); correspondence and a memorandum pertaining to Eleanor Roosevelt and John F. Kennedy. (Three folders.)
Collection Historical Note
Abba P. Schwartz was a lawyer and State Department official. Throughout his career he advocated for liberalized policies for the admission of refugees and visitors to the United States.
