Scope and Contents of the Materials
This collections consists primarily of minutes books of the Board of Trustees and Executive Committee. Also included are a bound volume containing a photostat reproduction of the book, Builders of Georgia Hall, a collection of documents documents and donor lists related to the funding of the original building; a booklet "The Story . . . Georgia Warm Springs Foundation"; and a copy of the Roosevelt Warm Springs Foundation's by-laws.
Collection Historical Note
After puchasing the Warm Springs resort in Georgia, in 1927 Franklin D. Roosevelt organized the Georgia Warm Springs Foundation to fund treatment for poliomyelitis. In 1982 the Foundation was re-established as the Roosevelt Warm Springs Foundation.
