The train arrived in Washington, DC. FDR's car was placed in the Bureau of Printing and Engraving "station". FDR left the train at 0830 and returned to the White House.

The remains of Gen. Edwin M. Watson were removed to Arlington, VA by US Army personnel under the supervision of Lt. Col. W. E. Davenport. Funeral services were to be held at the National Cemetary, Arlington, VA at noon, conducted by Chaplain D. A. Brady. FDR and members of his party were to attend. Total distance traveled: 13842 miles.
