FDR with members of FDR's party left his villa for the airport. All hands were up and ready for a 4:30 am departure for the airport, but word had been received that take-off would have to be delayed due to fog over field.

Arrived at Cairo West airport. A light fog still persisted over the field, so FDR and members of his party embarked in their planes to await the lifting of the fog.

Hopkins, W. Averell Harriman, Adm. William D. Leahy, Adm. Wilson Brown, Ross T. McIntire, Gen. Edwin M. Watson, Maj. John Boettiger, Lt. Comdr. Fox, Lt. (jg) Rigdon; Secret Service agents Reilly, Fredericks and Kellerman; steward Prettyman.
