Visited the branch post exchange which had been installed at the Russian Embassy for his convenience through the efforts of Maj. Gen. Connolly and Capt. George B. Silton and inspected the articles on display. These articles were principally of Persian manufacture.

Received Mohammed Raza Shah Pahlevi, the Shah of Iran, together with his prime minister (Mr. Saheily), his minister for Foreign Affairs (Mr. Saed), and his minister of the Imperial Court (Mr. Hossein Ala). The Shah presented FDR with a Persian carpet. The Shah and his party also called on Prime Min. Winston S. Churchill and Joseph V. Stalin, in that order.

Hosted a lunch at the Russian Embassy for Prime Min. Winston S. Churchill, Joseph V. Stalin, Mr. Pavlov, Maj. Birse, Charles E. Bohlen.

Plenary meeting of American, British, and Russian Chiefs of Staff and other delegates with FDR, Prime Min. Winston S. Churchill, Joseph V. Stalin. Those present were the same as at the 1600 meeting of Monday, 11/29/43.

Attended a dinner at the nearby British Legation in honor of Prime Min. Winston S. Churchill on the occasion of his 69th birthday. Present were: Winston S. Churchill, FDR, Joseph V.
