The Presidential Years
The Presidential
Gallery, located on the museum's main floor, takes visitors on a journey
through each of FDR's four terms as President of the United States.
Beginning with the campaign of 1932, the exhibits then explore the First
Hundred days, New Deal programs and artwork, and the unprecedented run for
a third term. The visitor then can view a video about World War II,
experience a recreation of the President's White House Map Room, and
participate in an interactive exhibit on war time decision making. The
gallery concludes with scenes from the President's funeral, just as the
country was on the threshold of victory. Gifts from Heads of State also are
on display throughout this gallery .
