Scope and Contents of the Materials
Frederic Smith was the chair of the Committee Sponsoring Hyde Park, New York for United Nations Organization Headquarters. Within the collection is Smith's resolution to Congress proposing that Hyde Park be offered as the future site of the United Nations. The collection contains correspondence to Smith from various individuals and political leaders. Also included are Smith's notes and written supporting arguments, maps, photographs, brochures, drafts of publicity materials, and printed material.
