Description:
Original caption reads: "Fearful youth. There was no sign of the arrogance of Nazi youth on the face of this young German soldier as he stepped from a house near St. Lo to lift his hands high in a token of surrender. Fear is on the face of the youth, appearing to be no more than 15, as he surrendered to first line American troops who stormed the area."
