Description:
Original caption reads: "Sgt. Edward Hill, Manchester, England, captured five years ago at Dunkerque was freed when Americans captured Prisoner of War Camp "Dulag-Luft" for Allied airmen near Wetzlar, Germany. This camp was by-passed by the 7th Armored Division, U.S. First Army, forcing the Germans to retreat without taking the prisoners with them. The camp was a model PW camp for Allied PW's." Archivist note: Sgt. Hill appears to wear a US Army Air Force B-10 flight jacket and short billed herring-bone twill cap, the latter with an RAF Flight Sergeant badge centered on the front.
