Collection Historical Note
Raymond Moley was a supporter and aide to then-Governor Franklin D. Roosevelt and helped to assemble the advisors that Roosevelt selected to accompany him to the White House. Moley assisted Roosevelt in drafting some of his speeches including the first inaugural address, but eventually he did not share the same political ideologies as President Roosevelt and their association ended.
