Collection Historical Note
From 1929 to 1934 Arnold Berge was an apprentice in the Val-Kill furniture shop. He worked as the chief craftsman at the Val-Kill Forge from 1934 to 1938. That same year he took over the Val-Kill pewtering business, running it in his home until 1942.
