FDR's train departed and joined up with the advance section which had departed 15 minutes earlier. FDR's party was joined by Judge Samuel I. Rosenman, Elmer W. Davis, Rear Adm. Wilson Brown, Maj. Gen. Edwin M. Watson, Capt. Chester C. Wood, Grace G. Tully, Dorothy Brady. Also Lt. Comdr. Howard G. Bruenn (Med. Corps), USNR, Lt. Comdr. George A. Fox (Hosp. Corps), Maj. DeWitt Greer, Lt. Robert H. Meyers, USNR, Lt. (jg) William M. Rigdon, Chief Warrant Officer's Albert M. Cornelius and Horace M. Caldwell; Dewey E. Long, John Cook, John J. Maloney, Guy H. Spaman, Chair. W. Fredericks and various other Secret Service Agents. Many members of the Press and broadcasting services also were on board.
