On July 4, 1941, President Roosevelt addressed the nation from his study in the newly dedicated FDR Library. After the President’s address Chief Justice Harlan Stone led the nation in the Pledge of Allegiance. The U.S. Marine Band closed with the Star Spangled Banner.
