A photo gallery documenting President Roosevelt’s cruise and “Good Neighbor” mission to South America, begun on November 17, 1936. The trip meant that he spent Thanksgiving away from Warm Springs, Georgia where he normally celebrated that holiday. The U.S.S. Indianapolis was Roosevelt’s ship while touring between Charleston, South Carolina to Port of Spain, Trinidad, and on to Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay. He returned on December 15, 1936.
