FDR and members of his party arrived at the Saki airfield. Mr. Molotov, Sec. of State Edward R. Stettinius, Jr., W. Averell Harriman and Miss Harriman and Mr. Flynn were there to see FDR off. Honors were rendered by the Soviet guard and band, and at 1040 FDR entered his plane. Mr. Flynn parted company with FDR at Saki, USSR and accompanied W. Averell Harriman to Moscow, USSR for a visit. The #3 plane departed for Deversoir. Embarked were: Lt's. Bogue and Kloock, Mr. Cornelius, Maj. Gaskill, Capt. Sarnow, Mr. Stoner and several others.

FDR's plane (#1) departed Saki, USSR for Deversoir, Egypt. Embarked were FDR, Mrs. John Boettiger, Adm. William D. Leahy, Adm's. McIntire and Wilson Brown, Gen. Edwin M. Watson, Comdr. Bruenn, Agents Spaman and Fredericks, and Chief Steward Prettyman.

Plane #2 departed Saki, USSR for Deversoir, Egypt. Embarked were: Harry L. Hopkins, Stephen T. Early, Charles E. Bohlen, Comdr. Clark, Colonel Park, Lt. Comdr. Fox, Maj. Putnam, Lt. Rigdon, Sgt. Hopkins, Agents Beary, Hipsley, Dorsey, Campion, Hanam, Rowley and Chief Stewards Calinao and Brazal, and Chief Cooks Floresca and Sarate. Log notes that several air-sea rescue ships were stationed along the route of the party's flight to Deversoir.

FDR's plane arrived at Deversoir, Egypt, operated by the US Army Air Force and located on the shores of Great Bitter Lake, 17 miles South of Ismalia, Egypt. FDR was met on arrival by Min. S. Pinckney Tuck and several other officers. FDR and his party motored to the nearby Suez Company boat landing, embarked in USS Quincy boats, and proceeded to the USS Quincy. (The USS Quincy had come here from Malta several days previously). FDR and his party arrived on board the USS Quincy at 1600. Clocks set back 1 hour.

Plane #2 arrived at Deversoir, Egypt. Upon safe arrival aboard ship, FDR dispatched a message to Joseph V. Stalin, the text of which is included in log. In the message, FDR thanked Joseph V. Stalin for the hospitality of the USSR during the Crimea Conference. He praised several officers in particular for jobs well done, and included several of the "many favorable comments as to the public reaction to the communique", all of which indicated the Conference's enormous success.
