To Request a Reproduction
You can order a print of any of the photographs you find online. The Library can provide a print in sizes from 4x5 to 20x24 in either matte or glossy finish or a digital scan at up to 600 dpi jpeg format.
After identifying an image to order, please send a request for a print or scanned
reproduction to our staff through
Ask the Archivist, email, fax, or regular mail. Please include the following information from the photo
database search results:
- The photograph's Library ID number (not the photo .GIF number)
- The photograph's title information
- Your daytime telephone number
- Your mailing address
- Write "Photo Order" in the email or fax subject line
ExampleYou wish to order a photograph of Eleanor Roosevelt with Fala the dog. Your search for "Fala" returned a list of images and you have chosen the following item:
Your order should look like this: I would like to obtain a digital scan of a photograph found on your website. The Library ID is 48223654(49). The image title is "Eleanor Roosevelt, Fala, and Mackenzie King at Quebec, Canada for Conference." The image is dated 09/11/1944. Here is my daytime telephone number and mailing address: __________ |
The Library will then contact you with information about the cost per photograph and get payment and mailing instructions for providing you with a print or scan.
